Asteria Retreat

Anafi, June 27 / July 4 2026

A shared journey into place, presence, and sisterhood

Set in the Cycladic island of Anafi, the island of light, we invite you to join us for a week where we slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and let the land guide us. The Asteria Retreat grows from our wish to create spaces where women can meet one another honestly, share what is real, and feel supported by community, movement, and nature.

Connecting with Place

Throughout the week, we’ll explore Anafi together and let the island become part of our practice:

  • walking the ancient paths that cross the island
  • gathering in circles at sunrise and sunset
  • visiting nearby beaches on foot and by boat
  • taking part in ceramic and cooking workshops with local friends
  • spending time in simple presence—listening, resting, noticing

Our home will be Klissidi Beach, a quiet and beautiful stretch of coastline within walking distance of other coves. It’s a place that naturally invites openness, reflection, and gentle connection.

Our Daily Rhythm

Each day will follow a steady, nourishing structure that supports both grounding and exploration.

Morning Practice: The Energy Body & Vital Force

In the mornings, we’ll move through practices that help us feel the flow of energy in the body—especially the main energetic centres. Together we’ll explore:

  • dynamic sequences
  • yoga postures
  • breathwork
  • meditation

These sessions are meant to help us wake up the vital force inside us, and to feel more present and alive in our bodies.

Late Afternoon: Biodanza & the Lines of Vivencia

In the late afternoon, we’ll transition into Biodanza, moving gently or playfully through the five lines of Vivencia: vitality, sexuality, creativity, affect, and transcendence.

Biodanza invites us to meet ourselves and one another through movement, music, and presence—without pressure, without performance.

Integration & Everyday Moments

Alongside the guided practices, there will be plenty of time to:

  • journal or simply sit with your thoughts
  • share small-group circles and spoken meditations
  • rest, swim, wander, or follow your own rhythm
  • connect with local friends who will welcome us into their world—through ceramics, bread making, wine tasting, or simply conversation

A Space to Remember Ourselves

We see this retreat as a shared space where we can gently remove what gets in the way of being who we truly are. Together, we’ll create a field of trust and sisterhood that supports each of us in listening inwardly and reconnecting with our inner guidance.

We would love to share this week with you—on an island where light, sea, and community come together in a simple and honest way.

Practical Infos

The retreat includes two meals per day and accommodation at Klissidi Beach, offering a quiet and immersive natural setting.

To move around the island, it may be useful to rent a car or scooter. Anafi is also served by a local bus and taxi service, which connects the main areas of the island.

Who we are

Francesca Veronesi

I’m a designer and curator, and for many years my work has revolved around creating experiences that invite people to take part, rather than simply observe—to become co-authors in the creative process. Over time I realised that this approach mirrors how I relate to life itself: we are all co-creators of the experiences we shape, attract, and grow through.

My relationship with yoga began more than twenty years ago in Venice and has continued to evolve ever since. I’ve been curious about many traditions—Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Tantra—and each offered something that stayed with me. When I lived in Australia, I completed a two-year teacher training at The Yoga Institute in Sydney, rooted in the Krishnamacharya lineage. Teaching pre-natal and post-natal yoga became one of the most meaningful parts of my journey, deepening my understanding of women’s bodies, rhythms, and needs.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to meet teachers who opened doors into healing—physical, emotional, and subtle. Learning about the chakras and the energy body changed the way I navigate both practice and daily life. For me, it’s like having a map: something that gently points you back toward balance when things feel unclear.

Recently, I spent time in Bali completing a teacher training in Kriya and Kundalini Yoga with the World Peace Organisation. This immersion brought me to a much deeper exploration of inner energy, breath, and awareness. Alongside this, my personal practice now includes non-duality meditation and self-inquiry, which have become steady companions—simple ways of returning to what is true, beneath all the noise.

All these threads come together in how I hold space: with curiosity, ease, and a sense of shared exploration. Asteria is part of that same intention—to create a place where we can meet ourselves and each other with honesty, softness, and a willingness to grow together.

Federica Sala

I am a video, photo, and event producer, and I have always been committed to approaching the organization of large-scale productions and events with a creative spirit. For years, I have strived to instill an ethical sense of work and cooperation within my teams.

I also specialize in artist management—spanning from music to entertainment—where I put into practice one of the things I love most: taking care of others, listening to them, welcoming them, and building a common vision together.

Music was my first passion; I encountered it through my work and have deepened my connection to it over the last fifteen years, first becoming a Biodanza Teacher and shortly after a Counselor with Body & Mind.

Thanks to this journey, I now lead several working groups that investigate personal exploration and individual potential. I offer a variety of tools to those who trust in my paths, my counseling clients, and my Biodanza groups. I also use Dixit Cards as a support in one-to-one and group sessions: they stimulate our emotions, help us verbalize them, and teach us to tell stories that always reveal so much about ourselves.

Biodanza was born in Chile in the 1960s through the studies and research of Rolando Toro, a psychologist and anthropologist. In 1965, he began experimenting with the use of dance with psychiatric patients. Several years later, he structured a method  suitable for everyone. It is based on the association of “music – movement – emotion” with the goal of inducing changes that promote individual well-being.

Biodanza is a system of human integration that gives people the opportunity to embark on a path of organic renewal and the discovery (or rediscovery) of their own potential.

*** No previous dance experience is necessary to practice Biodanza

With Francesca, we wanted to create a sacred space for meeting, exchange, and authenticity—a space that can light the path and enlighten us. Its name is Asteria.
